Caladryl Lotion

Caladryl Lotion

Caladryl Lotion An anti-allergic cream called Caladryl is used to treat and soothe skin conditions brought on by allergic reactions. The medication works because it can regulate histamine levels.

Itching, irritation, swelling, redness, and other reactions that are frequently seen during an allergy are brought on by histamine. Histamine reduction inherently results in a lessened allergic reaction.

When treating minor skin irritations like minor burns, cuts, or scrapes, sunburn, eczema, insect bites, cold sores, or rashes from poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac, promoxine is used to temporarily relieve the itching and pain.

Pramoxine-containing products can also be used to temporarily relieve the discomfort and itching caused by hemorrhoids and other genital or anal issues (such as anal fissures and itching around the vagina or rectum). Pramoxine is a member of the local anesthetic drug class. In order to prevent sensations of pain and itching, it numbs the skin.

Additional ingredients in this product might include skin protectants (zinc oxide, zinc acetate, and calamine). Check out the product package for further details.

Pramoxine should not be administered to children younger than 2 years or used as directed by a physician for hemorrhoids or other genital or anal conditions in children under 12 years of age. Before using this product, make sure it is right for you by carefully reading the package instructions if you are using it for self-treatment. (See also the section on precautions.)
